The room at La Maison De Saumur was so cozy and inviting, with a comfortable seating area to relax and unwind after a long day exploring. I loved waking up to the beautiful views of the garden, it added a touch of serenity to my stay. The complimentary toiletries and hairdryer were a nice touch, making me feel pampered and taken care of. Having a private bathroom in the room was so convenient and gave me the privacy I needed. The desk in the room was a great addition, perfect for catching up on work or planning my day. The Persian carpets in the room added a touch of elegance and made me feel like I was staying in a luxurious space.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the city view from my room, but I understand that others might enjoy it.

Good luck finding a shared lounge and library anywhere else! Plus, the owners practically live with you. The nearest airport is probably only a thousand miles away.
Who needs a chandelier and a fireplace in a dining room? I'd rather eat my dinner in a cold, dark basement.

The hosts provided excellent service, going out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh bread, homemade jam, and a variety of other options. The owners also provided helpful information about the area and even drove some guests to the train station.
Some guests were surprised to be charged for a cup of tea, which they felt should have been included in the room or mentioned beforehand.

The location was excellent, with restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The owners were friendly and informative, providing plenty of information about the area. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options to choose from. It was great to stay in a beautifully restored house instead of a soulless hotel.
The lack of warning about the stairs was a disappointment, especially after a long, tiring day. It was exhausting to carry our bags up several flights of stairs.
